Do you have experience in your current or former occupation? Are you active in your church or other community organizations? Do you have special skills or talents? For these and other accomplishments, American Academy awards credits that bring you closer to high school graduation. All you have to do is fill out a simple Experience Profile form. Just list your previous schools, job experience, military service, church or community volunteer work, travel, foreign language skill or musical talents. You can even get experience credit for marriage or childcare.

At American Academy you can choose the program that meets your needs. Both the online and the traditional mail correspondence programs offer an accelerated high school diploma.

Graduate Faster with Challenge Exams

American Academy offers an accelerated high school diploma. You can quickly complete requirements for many, or all, subjects by taking certain nationally published exams in your home. Exams are available in English, Spanish and French. They test your ability to read high school level material. They don’t test how many facts you've memorized. All questions are multiple choice. There are no essays to write. And there is no passing letter grade. Your score is compared to thousands of others like you who have taken the same exam in all 50 states and Canada. Your number of correct answers gives you a "rank" such as top 10% or top 50%. If you don't get a high enough "ranking" on your fist attempt you can re-take the exam until you qualify – without penalty or additional costs.
